OTTAWA AUTO SHOW EXPANDS AUTOMOTIVE SHOWCASE FOR SMALLER EXHIBITORS

Celebrations are underway for Ottawa in 2017 and the Ottawa Gatineau International Auto Show is hoping to make this year’s show even bigger and better. The 2017 4-day Show will run March 15-19th

at the Shaw Convention Centre in downtown Ottawa.

Starting out at the old Ottawa Congress Center on two levels the show moved into the new Shaw Center four years ago, and now features over 32 automotive brand exhibitors and will have exhibits on all four levels featuring over 150,000 square feet of exhibit space.

In 2016 the Show attracted an audience of over 57,000 automotive enthusiasts that is 75% male and 25% female along with families who actively search for information on new vehicles and innovative automotive products and services. Show attendees can search out the exotics and the hypercars; see all the new vehicles and new this year an expanded exhibitor area that will focus in on custom bikes and an automotive accessories area on level four of the Shaw Centre.

“For me the show has been a great way for me to meet new customers and clients, bring in some unique automotive products and capitalize on the Show’s audience. I find the Show is the highlight of my season, not only because I like it personally, but the business it brings through new contacts and relationships built around the Show” said Josh Boudreau the owner of Trackwerks, who has been a sponsor and exhibitor at the show. Josh will also be working with the show to build the Auto Show’s new automotive aftermarket exhibit area on the fourth level.

Peter Ginsberg, the Show’s producer is excited about the possibilities that the expanded fourth level will bring. “We have found that there is a lot more interest in the Show from smaller exhibitors who want to exhibit, so we decided this year to move all of our exhibitors out of the confines of the smaller rooms on level two and provide a brand-new exhibit space on Level 4. We can now give exhibitors more space and have been able to lower the prices to make it more comfortable and affordable for those companies in the past that wanted to exhibit but we could not accommodate”.

Kyle Goebel from Luxe Auto Lounge has been an exhibitor at the show for the past two years and has already reserved his space for the 2017 Show said “For us the Show is a great way to talk to a lot of people and show them what we have to offer, it’s a great way to meet new customers and renew old acquaintances plus play an active role inside the auto industry in Ottawa. The Auto Show is great for us and we get a lot of business from exhibiting the Show”.

Paul Mantha the President of Mantha Insurance and a major sponsor feels the same way. “Mantha Insurance has supported the Auto Show for many years. We keep coming back to see the amazing people who attend, from the young and inspired or the average attendee, to the seasoned car experts. It’s a great opportunity to build on our brand, show them what we do and extend our offers to save them money and make sure their insurance needs are met.”

This year’s Auto Show will feature 32 manufactures, a new area for EV’s, chargers and energy efficient vehicles and expanded exhibitor’s area on the fourth level, custom bikes and a whole lot more.
