One of my favorite hunts is the fall bow hunt up in the Maberly/Perth area. Approximately 7 mighty bow hunters head to the camp a week before the gun hunt, so the temperatures are usually very nice. The food is outstanding, well planned and pre- pared by another great friend Joe Publow. He is probably the best barbeque cook I know! We have shot a couple of deer over the years but the time hunting versus the ratio to deer down is very lopsided. But you know, when you go with a bunch of great people you don’t see very often the hunting becomes secondary.
It’s always fun to share
stories, play cards and toss a few back and catch up on old times. Those are the memo- ries that will be with you forever . As you can see retirement is very busy and I haven’t even got to the golf part yet!

I guess my largest pastime dur- ing retirement is golf. Even when I was still working, I played a lot of golf in the summer and have been a member at the Pakenham golf club for 15+ years. We always play men’s night on Thursdays and pretty much with the same group of guys,
