community involvement of Valley Heritage that inspired Valley musician Denny Welburn to give something back to the station. Denny does a monthly 50’s rock and roll show on the station. He and his musical friends have put together a CD called “Good Time Heart”, with proceeds going to VHR. “They give a lot, so I


thought I’d give something back to them”, says Denny. “Most of the artists on this CD are already getting some airplay on Valley Heritage, plus they’re always giving, doing fundraisers, food drives and various charities, so I thought let’s give something back.” A recent example of this


“giving” is the funding drive to support the Sunshine Coach Service in Renfrew. It provides transportation for disabled people who can’t take advantage of conventional modes of transportation. At the end of a day of radio pitches and live music from area performers, over $70,000 was raised for the cause. And that’s just one of countless charitable causes VHR spearheads ever year. Denny says he had no
