nomenal destination for visitors… there is something for everyone.”

National Harbor is easy to reach from Baltimore Washington International Airport or Reagan National Airport as well as Amtrak via the New Carrollton, MD train station or Union Station in Washington, DC. The community also is accessible by boat, as the National Harbor Marina offers two 700-foot long piers and a marina with 64 slips. Here, two 10,000- square foot platforms provide an ideal location for corporate entertaining or private events.

The community has been able to attract unique retail and restaurants with everything from outlet shopping to boutique and one-of-a-kind stores. From specialty food to clothing to jewelry to galleries and gifts, National Harbor has quickly become a shopping and dining mecca. In addition to 85 lead- ing brand name stores at Tanger Outlets, National Harbor’s waterfront district offers unique boutiques and it continues to grow.

Dining options include ethnic and American choices with everything from fast casual to destination dining and everything in between. Just a few of the restau- rants include: Cadillac Ranch (one of only five in the country), Crab Cake Café, Bond 45 (only location outside of New York City), and Brother Jimmy’s, a legendary North Carolina “slow-smokin’ barbecue” with its first Maryland location.

National Harbor recently launched a convention and visitor’s association, Visit National Harbor, to assist visitors, whether independent travelers, families or business travelers, and ensure they have the best possible experience.

Gaylord National already features a stunning 19-story glass atrium and sweeping views of the Potomac River, a spa, indoor swimming pool and whirlpool, state-of-the-art fitness center and a number of unique restaurants and shops on site. With 2,000 guest rooms and more than 500,000-square feet of flexible event space, it is well suited for hosting business meetings, conferences, conventions, trade shows and social gatherings.

The resort’s National Pastime Sports Bar and Grill just launched a new custom beer - National Pastimes Pale Ale, which attendees can enjoy while catching their favorite sports teams on a 36-foot high-definition video wall. Also, Relache Spa at Gaylord National recently launched a new menu of service for men that includes massages, facials, body treatments, nail services, salon and express treatments.

And coming on November 19, 2016, Gaylord National will kick off their Christmas on the Potomac celebration, which includes the popular annual ICE! attraction.

National Harbor welcomed five new unique retail locations this spring, including Carhartt, Savannah Kitchen Candy, Muse Paint Bar - marking the first stores in Maryland for all three. Upper Cuts Salon and Spa and Upper Cuts Gentlemen’s Grooming Place also joined the lineup.

Local Motors, a unique 3-D printing car and furniture manufacturer opened to the public in June and includes a retail outlet as well as a location where visitors can watch the 3-D printing process and see the cars. Local Motors also has launched “Ollie” the first self- driven bus at National Harbor.

New restaurants have also opened, bringing the total number of restaurants in the community up to 30.
