The staff of Gran Caffe L’Aquila pride themselves on their tours of Italy that don’t require leaving your seat at the restaurant. They offer a 52-week tour of Italy where they feature homemade specialties from selected cities all across the Italian countryside.
The restaurant also has created some of the most exquisite wine pairing menus inspired by the diverse regions of Italy that are available to groups of any size. The property’s second level boasts a more modern Italian aesthetic, which can accommodate groups from 10 up to 100 people.
The restaurant even has its own gelato and coffee labs that can be toured by smaller groups. Here, guests can experience the “Gelato Champion of Italy,” Stefano Biasini, and the award-winning Italian Coffee Roaster, Michele Morelli, in action.
Imagine planning a company dinner that takes your team on a food and wine tour through Tuscany. Among multiple wine pairings, your guests could experience a single vineyard Brunello di Montalcino wine paired with a homemade Pappardelle al Tartufo. Restaurateur and award winning regional Italian food and wine director, Riccardo Longo, hand selects wines straight from
those vineyards in Tuscany and pairs them quite nicely with gourmet Tuscan dishes. He can personalize any menu for any region you wish to indulge in - all while enlightening groups on the traditions and history of the regions' foods and wines.
This gives you the versatility to explore Naples one week, Milan the next, Venice or Florence another week. And there’s no need to deal with long lines at the airport, flight delays and the TSA.
All events held at Gran Caffe L’Aquila receive an exclusive verti- cal tasting of specialty gelatos and coffee. Chef Biasini brings most of his ingredients straight from Italy: rich chocolate from Torino, deli- cious hazelnuts from the Langhe, and sweet Amerena cherries from Rome, to name just a few.
Notes Longo, “Gran Caffe L’Aquila is all about Italian passion. Passion for food. Passion for wine. Passion for life! We don’t look at ourselves as a restaurant; rather, an experi- ence.”
