At Citizens Bank Park, Graham-Willis notes that, along with the vendors brought in for fun games and activities, the ballpark staff has many interesting baseball add-ons they can offer for holi- day events to really hit a homerun with attendees.


“We can provide add-ons such as behind-the-scenes tours of the ballpark, a visit by the popular Phillie Phanatic to get the dance floor going,or an alumnus to sign autographs. To really wow your guests,an event organizer can put a logo, thank you photo or another video com- ponent on Phanavision, our large video board.”


Graham-Willis also suggests that plan- ners should focus on guests being able to socialize with one another, so make sure that music is not too loud (to start) and offer lounge areas where people can sit and chat.


To further encourage the social aspect and also save on some cost, Graham- Willis suggests, “Have a reception-style party instead of a sit-down. Also, offer heavy hors d’oeuvres all night instead of a main course, and provide a specialty drink complemented with beer/wine instead of a full bar that includes spirits.”


From venue to staff to vendors and sup- pliers, there are numerous resources available to help planners keep their stress levels down and the merriment of their attendees up during the holidays. Partneringwith the right venues and ven- dors will create lots of comfort and joy for holiday event planners throughout the season.
