He adds that Cenero provides all theAV and lighting needed to make these things happen. “Our clients constantly challenge us to help themcreate some- thing different than the norm or immerse their attendees in the event. We did a combination meeting/party last year around the holidays,where the meeting was in one space and the party was next door. We had to get these people excited for a holiday party after hearing all about finances. On top of
that, the event was in early
November, so everyone was still in foot- ball, pumpkin and turkey mode.”
“The client wanted to give it a 'winter wonderland' feel, so we used a combi- nation of customer owned decorations, Cenero lighting/projection,and a 'snow machine' to immerse the attendees in the holiday season,while we were still weeks away from the official start,” Wicks continues. “While the rooms were right next to each other, there was actually an outdoor path between them, too. It 'snowed' outside, and we decorated and lit the inside so they would walk through the 'snow' and look into the window for the party space, and it felt like you were walking to grandma’s house for Christmas morning.”
Wicks also cautions not to skimp on AV for those planners that may be watch- ing their budget. “Some good audio and basic lighting can go a long way. People really underestimate the need for high quality sound and some deco- rative lighting to pull people into the spirit. It doesn’t have to be anything extreme, but you can dress up a room andmake themusic sound great for not a lot of money.”
He further notes that, when planning your holiday party,make sure youmake the party memorable for the right rea- sons. “Make the party memorable for
