T is summer, why not try some of the drinks brands that are taking the South West by storm?
MARVELLOUS MOCKTAILS Rocktails founders Chris and Katie love frozen drinks. T ey also love cocktails. And because they’re passionate about health too, they decided to launch a range of frozen mocktails from their South Brent base, designed either to be enjoyed alone or mixed with a cheeky tipple. Off ering “a sip of escapism from
the everyday”, Rocktails contain no artifi cial fl avourings, sweeteners, colours or preservatives, and each serving pouch is under 90 calories. T e range was only launched
in December 2015, and already the pair are off ering both pouches to drink at home and now retro granita machines which they’re launching into bars to use with their drinks this summer. Currently, the Rocktails range
features four blends: T e Mockito with lime, mint and yuzu; T e Sunset Sling with passionfruit, mango and guava; T e Coco-Colada with pineapple, coconut water and guanabana and their newest fl avour, launched this July: T e T yme Collins. T e combination of fresh lemon juice and thyme pays homage to the fresh lemonade that Chris enjoyed as a child, along with one of his favourite drinks, the Tom Collins – he says it pairs perfectly with gin too… Katie and Chris continue to
experiment with herbs, botanicals and teas to continue their mission to “redefi ne the mocktail marketplace” – we’re looking forward to seeing what’s on the horizon…

FINE SPARKLING WINE IN THE DORSET COUNTRYSIDE In 2009, Justin Langham planted 30 acres of vines on the land at his father’s Langham Estate near Dorchester, with the aim of producing some of the fi nest sparkling wines in the world. For the Langham Wine Estate team, the terroir is perfect: with a unique microclimate, chalk soils and a south-facing aspect, it’s perfect for the classic Champagne grape varieties, namely Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Every single grape is picked
by hand at harvest time for their wines, which are carefully craſt ed in a beautiful barn on-site, just metres from the vineyard. T ere are just a few hours between picking time and processing time, with the Langham Estate’s sparkling wines made using the traditional method, including

It’s also possible to enjoy guided, self-guided or private tours of the Estate this summer – including a chance to sample the Langham Estate wines in their own dedicated tasting room.
