REUBEN HEATON ANDY RACE

Reuben Heaton, has forged an enviable reputation for quality and performance within the angling trade

weigh scales and weighing equipment to angling competitions such as the WCC for almost ninety years and we are, once more, proud to be sponsors of the World Carp Classic, a truly world class event that offers an effective platform with which to showcase our products via worldwide media coverage. This year, as every year since the start

of the World Carp Classic in 1998, Reuben Heaton will be supporting the event throughout the week, with logistical support in the form of weights and measures, but there is also a first for Reuben Heaton. A joint project between the Heaton’s and

US hook giant Wright & McGill, better known for their Eagle Claw brand and Lazer Sharp brands, means that our anglers fishing this year’s event will be armed with the latest in hook technology. Until recently, TroKar hooks have been

THERE AND BACK AGAIN

‘‘ 96

Is it that time again? It doesn’t seem five minutes since we were preparing the gold scales for last year’s event at the mighty Bolsena in Italy. This year also brings a change of venue

and something of a homecoming, as we are back at the awe inspiring Lac de Madine the venue that witnessed the birth of the WCC back in 1998, the place where it all started. As ever, the event will definitely not be

one for the faint hearted, the WCC is an event that challenges both angler and equipment. The Reuben Heaton brand, synonymous with high quality fishing tackle for over 155 years, has been supplying performance

providing predator anglers with one of the most comprehensive and technically advanced hook ranges on the market. That technology has now been adapted to suit modern carp angling methods. Manufactured in the US, and designed to be the sharpest in the world, TroKar hooks feature patented Surgically Sharpened Technology (SST). In comparison tests TroKar hooks consistently pierced a test medium with as little as half the pressure for other hooks. Manufactured from a unique high-carbon Q741 steel specifically created for the brand, TroKar hooks are tempered to resist breaking with the perfect balance between wire strength and flex. Like Reuben Heaton, Eagle Claw has, over

many years, forged an enviable reputation for quality and performance within the worldwide angling trade and the company celebrates its 90th Anniversary this year. It is this manufacturing heritage and innovation that builds reputation. By constantly developing and refining

products to meet with the changing needs of anglers, leading brands like Reuben Heaton set the benchmarks by which others are judged. We have seen the World Carp Classic grow

in stature over 17 years and are very proud that we have endorsed and supported every event and with the Official event scales.
