Taking the bait.. Frank Warwick with his PB of 64lb caught on Northern Baits ‘‘

The company started with three of us making baits for ourselves in a small way, in the garage as carp fanatics often do. We obtained a small ‘Boilie Benz’

rolling machine and through my other business, servicing the big fish ingredient manufacturers in Norway and Scandinavia I very soon realised I could get hold of some of the best and freshest ingredients available anywhere in Europe, if not the world! I could get the purest low temperature

fish meals such as Krill, LT94, pre-digested fish proteins and some amazing liquid shellfish elements not available to the public, nor indeed the angling bait trade. Very soon our baits were getting a lot of

attention from friends and friends of friends and things began to snowball from there, we quickly grew and people were wanting to use our products. Demand grew and spread further afield, it was based on our total belief in using only the best natural and freshest

products available and cutting no corners in any way that won through and we rapidly began to expand our production facilities to cater for the demand for the baits. The results in the baits were exciting

and it only confirmed that our attention to detail and being able to obtain ingredients direct from the source was making a big difference, freshness was key. We realised when a distributor to the

angling trade in Denmark approached us to supply our bait to the Danish angling shops, that the time had come to turn the hobby that had got out of hand, into a proper registered bait company, which we did here in Norway. We obtained an industrial unit near my home which we kitted out with a lot of machinery, some off the shelf, but a lot of it I made myself using my contacts and my own workers in my other business that develops and manufactures industrial machines for many big automated plants around this part of the world.
