The shops and public here in

Scandinavia really liked the baits and products, so things quickly progressed. At first, the three of us that started the

company, would make bait in the evenings and late into the night after we had finished our day jobs, then it grew to every evening and all weekend, we found it began to swallow our lives completely, especially as the word about the bait had spread and we were now supplying anglers in Germany and Sweden and beyond.

Very quickly we needed to make our production facility even bigger, as it organically grew faster than we had anticipated. So we obtained more machinery that was bigger and faster. Around this time, we decided to explore

the possibilities of entering the World Carp Classic, we had followed this competition over the many years of its existence with great interest and fancied getting involved. I met Ross through a mutual friend and we became friends, and I had no hesitation in entering the competition and decided

to sponsor a section, it was a wonderful experience and has truly become the highlight of the year for me. I have met so many good friends while doing the WCC it warms my heart to think of it, there seems to be no negativity about this competition and is a true gathering of friendly, like minded people really enjoying the occasion and soaking up the unique atmosphere it creates. I even offered my services at the pre-

match party as a DJ as my other great passion in life is music! Ross quickly accepted this and I think the anglers had a good time. This great party sets the scene for the theme of the WCC and friendships made and renewed each year. The camaraderie and friendships made at the WCC are priceless. Ross had me perform my DJ thing at

the World Predator Classic in Holland at its inaugural event, with the proviso that proceedings must stop at 1:00 am to avoid a repeat of the Bolsena carnage, he must have liked it though as I also had a return to DJ-ing duties at Bolsena in 2014.

The passion we have at Northern baits

and relentless search for making the perfect bait, shows. We recently had to relocate to a new, custom built factory six times bigger than the old one in Norway. We now supply bait to Sweden, Norway,

Denmark, Hungary, Italy, Germany, and have recently started in Holland, France and the UK, with much interest elsewhere. We have some very interesting new

products and innovative things in the pipeline for the near future that we know you are going to love, so watch this space and remember carp fishing is not all about only catching big fish it’s a common passion and bond we anglers all share, it’s about friendships, good times and happy memories, we wish you all of these things and hope you all have a great, memorable time at this year’s event at Madine. See you there!
