FF - Your community magazine Business as usual at Costa Car Clinic
Living as an expat in Spain can have its - shall we say - challenges. Working in a job can add to those challenges. But running your own business, as many of our advertisers and contributors will know, can be frankly, quite fraught at times. For Costa Car Clinic in Pedreguer, the end of the year was
a particularly tough time. The good news, is that CCC have pulled through and are now back to normal.
It all started with a ‘routine’ Iberdrola inspection. Very quickly, Iberdrola decided that the electrical supplies to the industrial unit were incorrect, and without notice, or giving chance for correction, turned the electricity off. In order to carry on trading, Richy and Helen hired a generator. Now, this is no ordinary generator you might take camping, no, this was literally the size of a small bus! Through all this, CCC continued in their business but it’s fair to say with diminished capability.
At the same time, came the tsunami of red tape that they needed to get through to (a) correct the electrical supply deficiency and (b) persuade Iberdrola that it really was quite important to get the power back on - if for no other reason than the fact that generators aren’t cheap to rent and run! Moreover, CCC prides itself on attention to detail and client satisfaction.
We’re please to report that as of January, everything is back to normal and CCC can look forward to a less eventful 2015, servicing and repairing cars and vehicles from clients old and new. It’s a timely reminder to all businesses to take nothing for granted and check all is in order before any nasty surprises. We wish Richy and Helen well and a very happy New Year!
