The Healing benefits of Neuromuscular Massage Therapy
N.M.T Massage has a wide range of benefits. Here are just some of the benefits it will have on your body and the wonderful positive impact on specific areas of your body.
- Muscular Impact: Some joint pain is caused by tight (shortened) muscles which pull on the joint, causing pressure and sometimes misalignment of the joint. The combination of gentle massage and stretches in N.M.T massage relaxes and lengthens tight muscles. This takes pressure off the joints and allows them to fall back into proper alignment, relieving the pain. Additionally, the muscular flexibility gained in a treatment massage allows for greater range of motion in the joints. - Skeletal Impact: The opening created by the stretches in N.M.T Massage relieves excess stress on the skeletal body including the spine. The reduced stress on the skeleton reduces stress on the joints, alleviating pain. - Articular Impact: Stretches increase the space between the joints, allowing fluids (such as lymph, synovial and cerebrospinal) to circulate - effectively “greasing the joints,” increasing mobility, and reducing healing time. - Postural Impact: The impact N.M.T Massage has on the body is similar to that of gentle stretching. The treatment will help restore and
return the body to its natural alignment, and also helps to improve overall posture. N.M.T Massage has been proven to correct skeletal problems, even reversing some degenerative spinal diseases such as kyphosis, scoliosis and lordosis. Improved posture allows joints to move within their intended ranges and positions, reversing and / or preventing pain within them. The healing qualities of N.M.T Massage are helpful for almost everyone. Clients of all ages enjoy the therapy and the fantastic benefits they feel afterwards. Your therapist will take a thorough health history from you and a full consultation with you prior to your treatment and together will help you return to a full healthy and rewarding life.
