Now in our 22nd year!
Sport Many don’t like it, not even the word. Perhaps because they have bad memories of their performance when they went to school or because they haven’t done any for a long time and feel inadequate compared to those in good physical condition. Another reason may be that the sofa is the best place after a stressful day in the office rather than the gym. It’s easy to find an excuse. What can you do to change this? Look at the rational arguments? Perfect! Sport is a medicine. A training plan can have the same effects as medication to lower blood pressure. Now that is a convincing argument! Sport can make us resistant against, and reduce stress. This sounds very interesting for those who always turn to food when they feel stressed out. Sport is a very important factor in losing weight and staying in shape. Training carried out regularly increases our energy consumption. This can be resistance and strength training, or other forms of exercise, even just increasing our normal day to day movements. Effective strength training increases and maintains the ratio of muscle mass. This helps prevent low basal metabolic rate and even increases it in the long run. This is a must read for women. This form of exercise gives shape to the body. No diet can achieve this nor can an abdomen, leg and buttock exercise regimen, which do make you feel better but don’t increase muscle mass. Such courses are fantastic to motivate and to burn energy but if you want to reshape your body - or as they say today - want bodystyling, you need to take this seriously. Still not convinced? Then I’m going to say that sport can be fun. It is true that at the beginning perhaps you are a bit clumsy, the body needs time to educate itself but eventually it is going to thank you. You will soon start realising that your day to day activities like lifting bottles of water, cartons of milk etc, participating with friends or children in their sports activities can be fun. Where once you were too lazy, you will make new friends and discover new hobbies, and suddenly you realise that dancing is enjoyable, and maybe think about taking up football? Or perhaps even powerlifting? The choices in sports are endless, especially when you realise what your body is capable of. It will be rewarding to realise what you are

capable of and what you can achieve. This is called motivation, motivation in the long run. We are here to help make this more fun. With our installations and above all our fitness and dance classes, you will be able to do everything you imagined!
Quality of life “I’d be happy being size 36”, “If I were thin I would be respected by the people around me”, “With a new figure I would find the man/woman of my dreams who would change my life”. All these phrases are said by people who want to lose weight. And they are not completely false, since pursuing and achieving of goals are factors of happiness. It is also true that to look good in our society, including being a good body shape, increases others appreciation of us. To deny this would be to believe in fairy tales.
With regard to food and eating, on one hand there is the utility factor, the food supply which serves to keep us alive and healthy. On the other hand we have the social factor. Eating out or with friends is very important to us all. The birthday cake, the Christmas goose, business parties, or simply a pleasant evening with wine and pizza in a group
of friends. Every human being has their own concept of a tasty meal. We are born with a sweet tooth but this is also encouraged behaviour. What we liked as children will generally be our favourite dishes when we are adults. It is very common for adults to eat a strict diet and then get fed up with it and go to the extreme, eating very unhealthily for a while before feeling guilty and going back to a strict diet again. It is better to listen to your body and constantly eat a healthy diet without being too strict on yourself. You will feel better in yourself and this will reflect in all aspects of your life.
At our centre we can help you make these changes in your life to bring about not only a better looking you but also a better feeling you which will change your life. We look forward to seeing you to tell you about our studio and many classes including Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, Spinning, Salsa, Bachata and finding a regime to suit you.
