Firstly, everyone at Larry’s would like to wish you a very happy New Year, and to say a big THANK YOU to all our customers during 2014 (and before!).
One question we get asked a lot is “Can you do diagnostics on such and such a car?”, and in all honesty the answer has always been a
resounding yes. Diagnostics are an important capability for any garage, you plug the car into the computer, and it gives you a read out of what’s what, often revealing problems that can’t always be seen when doing
a visual inspection. More importantly, with a vehicle’s performance being controlled more and more by the central computer, any garage that doesn’t have a full set of diagnostic equipment can’t really offer a full service capability.
At Larry’s we have regularly invested in diagnostic equipment. It’s important to keep up with all the latest models which in part enables us to carry out maintenance to cars still under warranty - without affecting the warranty. Our latest bit of kit is a LAUNCH diagnostic kit. This is a very clever (and expensive) bit of kit. We also have others by Bosch so that’s why we can carry out full diagnostics on almost any car! So, if you’re not sure if your car isn’t tip-top in the performance department, we
can figure out what’s wrong and get you on your way.
One final thing, January always seems to be a busy time for ITVs. Why? Because many people simply forget it’s due, getting distracted by the Christmas, New Year and 3-Kings festivities. We typically get a number of cars needing an emergency ITV simply because it’s overdue! Don’t get caught out, check now and book your car in, we can do a full pre-ITV check and even get it to the ITV station for you, returning it fully legal for the road.
