Fistral Beach
The words Newquay and surfing are often spoken in the same breathe when it comes to surfing in the UK and Fistral Beach, with its particularly long straight beaches, offers perfect conditions for followers of the sport. The summer time attracts a great many surfers to Fistral Beach from all around the UK looking to catch the quality swells and waves along the beach but those living in the area get to enjoy the waves all year round.
Perranporth Beach
There are few beaches in the UK which can match the uninterrupted waves and swells which Perranporth offers. Situated on the north coast of Carrick the area has access to hundreds of miles of swells and waves from the ocean, and is perhaps only beaten in the UK surfing stakes by Newquay, Chapel Porth and Porthtowan. The area also attracts a great deal of other sports people with an excellent array of golfing facilities to name but one.
Porthtowan Beach
While Porthtowan may have a history steeped in the mining industry it is the surfing world which seems to have taken over this small village in Cornwall. Like a number of the surrounding coastal towns it has excellent access to the tidal waves off the sea and sand dunes which are perfect for surfing. This small village has made a very big noise in the world of UK surfing.
