Atwell Wrap Up Another Labelling Line Order

At the last PPMA show Pam Honeyman, owner and Head Brewster of Monty’s Brewery, visited the Atwell-Self Adhesive Labellers stand to discuss the automatic labelling of their ever increasing range of award winning beers. Pam explained to Atwell that since winning a whole host of prestigious awards they needed help to label their bottles in order to keep up with demand. The criteria the labeller had to meet was: flexibility, reliability, ease of use, and if possible, to print a date code directly on the label as it was applied. Atwell proceeded to demonstrate their market leading AL2-120S wrap-

round labeller fitted with a in- line thermal transfer printer, which fitted the bill perfectly and was subsequently ordered and delivered to site to be used as a standalone machine. Pam is quoted to say “The Atwell Engineer came and installed the labeller along with the printer and showed the whole team how to set it up and get the most out of the machine. Nothing was too much trouble for him”. Bottling soon became an integral part of what Monty’s Brewery did, and in January 2013 a new bottling plant was installed to sit in-line with our Atwell labeller. The bottling line fitted in easily with the labeller, and

bottle production went from a very labour intensive 2 days per pallet, to an easy 4 pallets per day full process, an increase in productivity of 800%. The impact of the Atwell labeller was huge. High speed accuracy ensured that all the labels applied were level and bubble free. With the range of bottles looking great on customer’s shelves, sales and interest in the product continues to grow locally, nationally and internationally.

Atwell supply a range of equipment specifically for the food and beverage industries and would welcome the opportunity to discuss any of your labels or labeling requirements.
