Since 1987, students in this program have learned about British and American legal systems through class work, guest lectures, and excursions to Oxford and London. Students are provided with full board seven days per week and housed in private rooms at St. Anne’s College, close to Oxford other colleges, libraries, and its downtown shop- ping district.
FSU will conduct its 42nd annual program in 2014 at St. Edmund Hall, University of Oxford. As the oldest ongoing program in Oxford sponsored by a U.S. law school, it provides students with a unique opportunity to study comparative law and the history of the common law and its institutions in their original setting.
Approximately 36 students are accepted into the program each year. Participants live and attend classes in Oxford, England. This program allows students to earn five credit hours by taking one course taught by an SMU law professor and one tutorial taught by an Oxford tutor.

Law students will study and live in Oxford, UK, for five weeks. Comparative and inter- national law courses will be offered by law professors and barristers.
