The Summer Program in Chile/Argentina offers opportunities to learn and network with dozens of leading faculty, practitioners, government officials, and policy makers in Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Students acquire knowledge of the legal aspects of trade and investment in Latin America and a better understanding of the social, legal, and political developments of the region.


Example of classes: Human Rights Law & How the Decisions of Foreign Courts Affect Domestic Law in US & Latin America; The Disappeared/Truth Commissions; Patents; Human Rights


Four-week program covering legal topics of human rights and political institutions as they relate to Argentina.


The Universidad Torcuato di Tella (UTDT) is a non-profit academic and research institution that was founded in 1991 and is located in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires. UTDT has taken an interdisciplinary approach incorporating areas such as economic analy- sis, game theory, and, political and moral philosophy into its curriculum.


This program immerses students in Argentine law and culture. Prominent Argentine faculty members with extensive international experi- ence teach courses on International and Latin American issues. Fluent Spanish speakers may participate in the prestigious judicial externship program working with and learning directly from judges and their law clerks. Additionally, externships are being offered in a number of private law firms in Buenos Aires.
