Hong Kong’s legal, business, social and cultural environment integrates the unique culture of China with a very Western ap- proach. The course will cover areas such as constitutional, administrative, electoral and legal systems that exist in Hong Kong today. Topics will also include trade and invest- ment, Hong Kong’s relationship with China, corporate law, tax and bankruptcy.

Orientation is held in Delhi and includes a tour of Parliament. The ABA-approved pro- gram then moves to Shimla, in the foothills of the Himalayas. For the final few weeks the program is located in Dharamsala, the seat of the Tibetan government in exile. There will be lectures, meetings, and receptions with Indian judges, lawyers, scholars, and govern- ment officials.
