The Summer Program focuses on various aspects of this complex and important rela- tionship, from a constitutional, transactional, and comparative perspective. Additionally, the Program will offer courses that focus more generally on constitutional and/or comparative law issues.

Our summer program in Tokyo presents an opportunity to study law in a fascinating city that remains one of the world’s economic and financial centers. The core three-week, 4-5 unit class introduces students to the Japanese legal system and explores current issues in international trade and intellectual property law.

Since 1994 our Japan law program has offered law students a unique opportunity to participate in a study-abroad experience that prepares the next generation of lawyers to practice in the global marketplace. In addition to studying Asian, international, and comparative law with an outstanding faculty composed of American and Japanese-edu- cated professors, students are immersed in Japanese culture.
