Dr MacKinnon Memorial Hospital, Broadford, Isle of Skye
The Dr MacKinnon Memorial Hospital is located in Broadford, Isle of Skye. Skye is one of the Inner Hebrides group of islands and is connected to the mainland by the Skye Bridge. There are uninhabited wildernesses and small islands as well as the larger, well known isles that surround Western Scotland to explore. It has a rural lifestyle but is within day trip distance of the city of Inverness, the Capital of the Highlands.
Sonographer
Band 7: £30,764 - £40,558 per annum Full-time, 37.5 hours per week – permanent

We are looking for a qualifi ed Sonographer to join our small friendly team in Skye with the opportunity to undertake some general radiography if desired. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Ultrasound Scanning Service in conjunction with the Deputy Superintendent.
The X-ray Department at the Dr MacKinnon Memorial Hospital is equipped with a Siemens S2000 ultrasound scanner. Both the Dr MacKinnon Memorial and Portree Hospitals have X-ray rooms, CR, RIS and PACS.
A full, current driving licence and use of own car for work purposes is essential. A relocation package may be available.
Radiographer
Band 6: £25,783 - £34,530 pro-rata per annum Part-time, 18.75 hours per week – permanent

We are looking for a qualifi ed Radiographer to work in our X-ray Department although you will be required to attend the other hospital site on Skye at Portree for regular sessions. Participation in the out of hours on-call rota is required. Consideration could be given to annualised hours working.
The X-ray Department is equipped with an X-ray room and ultrasound room and there is a general X-ray room at Portree Hospital. Both Hospitals have CR, RIS and PACS.

RADIOGRAPHER Part time (full time by arrangement)

JOB SPEC: MOBILE DENTAL CBCT ACROSS THE COUNTRY POSITION: Part time with full time potential – 20 hours per week (+)
Dental Scanning Services is Europe’s only mobile dental CBCT scanning service; Scanning patients for their referring GDP’s throughout England (exc. N.I). Enjoy the benefits of working for small growing private company. You would be expected to deliver the highest standards of imaging.
You will be required to drive and scan whilst out of the office; General administration, route planning and technical support if and when at base.
It is essential that you are a team player, can implement great time management, have excellent communication skills; dealing with referring GDP’s and their patients. You will require a good sense of humour and will need to be flexible and able to work across a range of hours including long days, occasional overnight stays (sensible expenses covered) – Monday-Friday’s only ( at present time).

Borders General Hospital Radiology Department
Sonographer

We are seeking applications from Sonographers with a Diploma in Medical Ultrasound to join our friendly, dedicated team of three Sonographers in the Borders, working closely with Radiologists to provide a fi rst class patient focused service. You will be expected to independently perform and report a wide range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, in patient and out patient, gynaecology, small parts, and vascular examinations. Obstetric scanning is optional. A commitment to AAA screening is also required. Musculoskeletal ultrasound would be an advantage. We actively encourage skill mix and CPD and a commitment to teaching is required. Part time hours may be considered.
