INCREASING CONFIDENCE IN COLORECTAL IMAGING – CTC 7 December, Peterborough City Hospital A study morning (9am -1pm) for advanced practitioners and other radiographers with an interest in CT colonography. Peterborough City Hospital has operated a radiographer led CTC service for over five years. Seven advanced GI practitioners are now reporting CTC examinations. The study morning will include 1) Service requirements. 2) Critical
parameters to achieve a diagnostic study 3) Radiographer reporting and 4) Image review with pathology. The study morning has endorsement by the College of

Topics include PET CT, CT enterography, cardiac CT, CT pulmonary nodule update, post liver transplant CT, CT in acute pancreatitis, CT of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumours. RED DOT STUDY DAY 1 February (all day), The Hilton Hotel Leeds An interactive study day aimed at junior radiographers and final year radiography students, or anyone wishing to consolidate their existing musculoskeletal radiology knowledge. The course introduces basic plain radiograph pattern recognition. The study day will concentrate on trauma and by the end of the day the delegate should be able to assess a plain radiograph of the upper limb, lower limb, pelvis and spine for signs of trauma. Normal radiographic anatomy and physiology will be discussed whilst normal variants and common pitfalls will be considered. Cost: £50, includes lunch and refreshments. IMAGE GUIDED & INTENSITY MODULATED RADIOTHERAPY IN CLINICAL PRACTICE COURSE 6-8 February, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust A three day course designed to help clinicians, physicists and radiographers develop programmes for the clinical implementation of image guided and intensity modulated radiotherapy. In 2013 it was awarded 19 RCR category I CPD credits from the
Royal College of Radiologists and 20 CPD credits from the European Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics. The curriculum covers many practical aspects and includes hands-on

INTRA-ORBITAL FOREIGN BODY (IOFB) REPORTING STUDY DAY 17 March (all day), University of the West of England This CPD Now accredited course aims to enhance imaging service provision by equipping radiographers with the skills required to interpret orbital x-rays as part of the MRI screening process. Topics include anatomy of the orbit and skull; IOFB safety; schemes
of work; IRMER guidelines for requesting/ interpreting IOFB x-rays; film interpretation.
