Caerleon Post Offi ce

A

good post offi ce can usually be found at the heart of any community – and Caerleon is no exception.

Located on the High Street, Caerleon Post Offi ce has recently

undergone a massive interior and exterior refurbishment, allowing it to offer more services and more convenience than ever before. Spencer and Sheila Basford have run the post offi ce for almost

a decade now, offering impeccable service to villagers and visitors to Caerleon. Always offering the warmest of welcomes to regulars and

tourists alike, Caerleon Post Offi ce offers a complete post offi ce service, so whether it’s a fi rst-class stamp you want or whether you want to mail a package to Australia, you can do it in the village. As well as offering a full postal service, Spencer and Sheila

provide lots of little extras. Inside you’ll fi nd birthday cards, Welsh gifts and keep sakes,

stationery, maps and books, prints of area of local interest as well as a selection of cold drinks, confectionery and grocery essentials, making it great for residents and tourists to the historic village alike. Another fantastic service offered by Caerleon Post Offi ce is a full HSBC banking facility. Last year the HSBC branch located in the village closed. As

part of a national agreement, the Post Offi ce took over the bank services allowing HSBC customers to pay in cash, withdraw money and carry out many other banking transactions. Caerleon Post Offi ce is open Monday to Saturday, from 9am

until 5.30pm (that’s right – throughout Saturday afternoon). You’ll fi nd it located at 31 High Street, Caerleon. You can call 01633 420309 for further information.
