and-a-half-years, and having finally received planning permission to extend and refurbish the restaurant work is underway. They are expanding the business to keep


up with the constant demand for their popular homemade culinary offerings, which are expertly hand made by head chef Dion Tidmarsh. Dion trained as a chef at The Celtic Manor


and has worked at some of the finest restaurants in the UK, including Hurst House – owned by Neil Morrisey – and The Newbridge Inn at Usk (then owned by Chris Evans), which is part of the Celtic Manor group, owned by Terry

tasting dishes using the finest locally sourced ingredients from local farms and suppliers from the surrounding Monmouthshire area. On the first Friday of each month, Dion


showcases his superb cooking skills by holding a special fine dining evening, where you can sample culinary delights from a spectacular six- course menu. Booking for this fantastic feast is essential.


It is served from 7pm sharp and is priced at an amazing £24.95 per person. Make a date in your diary for Friday, June 7, and Friday, July 5. Lunch is served at The Coach and Horses,


Monday to Friday from 12noon until 3pm and in the evening; dinner is served from 6pm until 9pm. Food is available all day on Saturday from


12noon until 9pm. Take advantage of the great saver menu


where you can get two courses for £10.95 and three courses for £13.95. This superb meal deal is available all day,


Monday to Thursday, and also at lunch time on Friday and Saturday. The menus at the Coach and Horses are


full of flavoursome treats for you to enjoy, with homemade pies being a speciality. Whether you choose from the lunch, bar


and snack or a la carte menus, from the specials board or the saver menu, you’re sure to enjoy a beautiful homemade meal in comfort and friendly atmosphere. Starter dishes are priced from £4.95 and main meals from as little as £8.95. Sunday lunch is an extra special event at The
