There’s a new owner at The Goytre Arms, which re-opened last November under new management, and you are guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome from landlord Richard and his friendly and attentive staff.

ituated on the main road of the beautiful village of Penperlleni, The Goytre Arms is a well-loved venue that is frequented by visitors and regulars alike.


Its friendly atmosphere and accommodating nature is enhanced by the superb offerings produced by the pub’s chef. At The Goytre Arms, you’ll find two bars, a beer garden and restaurant, it is the perfect destination whether you’re looking for a bar snack, an evening meal, a hearty Sunday lunch or just a relaxing drink with friends. The superb restaurant offers a wondrous menu of delicious home-cooked pub favourites and more exotic dishes from the specials board, all at exceptional value for money. All food at The Goytre Arms, wherever possible, is locally sourced, with eggs coming from Croft Farm and meat from Doug Willis. Lunch and bar snacks are served from 12noon until 3pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Evening dinner is served from 6.30pm until 9pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,

Friday and Saturday. Why not enjoy delicious homemade lasagnes, chilli or pies? Each meal is made fresh to order using the finest locally sourced ingredients. During the summer The Goytre Arms will be holding a barbecue every Sunday and Monday afternoon, weather permitting. Sunday lunch is served from 12noon until 4pm and there is always a delicious choice of three roasts to choose from, including lamb, chicken and beef.


There are also vegetarian options available and children’s Sunday lunch portions priced at £4.95.


Booking is essential for Sunday lunch as the pub fills very quickly. Spend some quality time with the family this Sunday with a scrumptious roast, where you can get two courses for only £9.95, £10.95 for lamb. On June 14, Richard will be celebrating his 50th birthday and has planned a great weekend of entertainment for everyone to enjoy. There will be a barbecue, live music from


great local bands, plus so much more for all the family to enjoy. It’s free entry to for this great weekend of celebrations and everyone is more than welcome to come along and enjoy themselves. Richard also holds a special music event every bank holiday Sunday. Due to the success of past bank holidays the next one in August will sure to be another major hit. Call now for more details. The Goytre Arms’ gardens are officially open for summer; this is the perfect destination to eat al fresco, where you can enjoy beautiful scenic views and wonderful wildlife. You can choose to sit out front or the back, the back garden has luscious green grass, play area and plenty of space for the children to have fun in.
