SEMA Show to Include Auto Dealer Conference
Exclusive Program Seeks to Demonstrate How Accessory Integration Can Benefit Dealers
For the fifth consecutive year, the SEMA Show will include an exclu- sive program designed specifically for franchise and independent automotive dealers. Taking place Tuesday, Octo- ber 30–Friday, November 2, 2012, the extensive program focuses on criti- cal areas of accessory integration and how they impact operations in all key dealership departments.
“We want to help dealers be success- ful at selling accessories, and we want more dealers to get involved,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice presi- dent of communications and events. “Although the automotive accessories industry represents a $30 billion mar- ket, many dealers are hesitant to jump on board.”
Titled Auto Dealer Accessory Con- ference and Show Tour, the program includes intimate roundtable discus- sions on Wednesday, October 31. Topics include accounting, fixed oper-

ations, finance and insurance, new and used sales, and accessory sales. Dealers that have successfully incorporated an accessory program into their businesses will share their personal experiences, while experts will outline how there are many easy-to-install products that can have a big impact on the bottom line. At the conclusion of the discussions, participants will be invited to attend, and receive preferred seating at, the Vehicle Connectivity Keynote Lunch. After lunch, they will be taken on an insider’s tour of the SEMA Show highlighting key products and services that will help dealers increase sales and add profit to their bottom line. Registered individuals will also be able to visit with nearly 2,000 exhibiting companies and see the new products and trends as they walk the 1-million sq. ft. Las Vegas Convention Center throughout the Show from Tuesday, October 30–Friday, November 2.
“Dealers will be able to see thousands of customized vehicles up close and in person,” said MacGillivray. “They will also be able to see the newest products and trends about to hit the market. They’ll have a better under- standing as to what their customers are looking for.”
To participate in the dealer con- ference, individuals must register for both the SEMA Show, and for the Auto Dealer Accessory Conference and Show Tour. The dual registration pro- vides access to the SEMA Show floor throughout the four-day event, as well as to the exclusive dealer activi- ties on Wednesday, October 31.
