SEMA Award Winners to Be Announced


For the third year in a row, SEMA Show exhibitors will identify the hot- test vehicle platforms during the 2012 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The win- ning models will be presented with the coveted SEMA Award in four categories: Hottest Car, Hottest Truck, Hottest 4x4-SUV and Hottest Sport Compact.


“SEMA Show exhibitors are the visionaries of the industry,” said Chris Kersting, SEMA president and CEO. “Their decision to display a vehicle in their booth is a statement about what they see as the hottest trending vehicles for the year ahead.”


Each seminar will be facilitated by OMIX personnel and led by industry specialists, who will share best prac- tices, tips and tricks for maximizing sales and operational and marketing strategies within the off-road indus- try. Examples and case studies will also be presented, making the Success Center the ideal educational venue for attendees interested in the ever-popular off-road market. Planned seminars will include:  Social Media: Find, Connect and Engage Customers—Build Rel- evant Content and Consumer Advocates to Achieve Greater Success.  Dealerships Dealt a Winning Hand—How Jeep and Truck Deal- erships Win Profit in the After- market. Tuesday, October 30 at 2:00 p.m., booth #30147. Facilitated by OMIX-ADA Business Develop- ment Manager Ray Weaver with case study testimonials by a Jeep dealer- ship that has successfully adopted this approach.


 Data Is the Engine—How to Obtain, Understand and Simplify the Loading of Effective Product Data. Wednesday, October 31 at 10:00 a.m., booth #30147. Facilitated by OMIX-ADA Director of Purchas- ing Gonzalo Manotas and led by SEMA Data Co-op CEO Jon Wyly.

Show organizers will tally every Show booth vehicle (each booth vehicle rep- resenting one vote) to identify the most prominent vehicle models in the four categories, and the winners will garner the SEMA Award honors for the year. The SEMA Show typically includes more than 700 qualified booth vehicles. While each entry is a rolling work of art, the SEMA Award winners high- light platforms with massive custom- izing potential.


The winners will be announced on opening day, Tuesday, October 30, at the Vehicle Technology Center in the LVCC Grand Lobby at 9:00 a.m.
