Boss Audio BV9370NV Comes Out of the Box With Bluetooth, Turn-by-Turn Navigation and iPod Control
Value-Priced, Full-Featured Navigation Receiver Now Shipping Boss Audio Systems, a leading full-line supplier of consumer electronics for the car and boat, is now shipping the highly- anticipated BV9370NV navigation receiver, which was introduced in January during the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The new flagship receiver leads a line of innovative in-dash units with designs and feature sets that exceed expectations at every price point.
Single Unit Simplifies Installation The BV9370NV is a complete one- unit solution fronted by a 6.2-inch TFT touch-screen that provides the user with sought-after features out of the box with no need to purchase or install additional modules. The navigation system fea- tures turn-by-turn spoken directions to destinations in all 50 U.S. states, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico, with more than two million Points of Interest
(POI). Built-in Bluetooth® functionality enables users to perform safe, hands-free calls using the embedded microphone, audio speakers and on-screen controls. The BV9370NV also connects directly to any late-generation iPod, giving the user full control over audio selection and playback. “We’re very proud of the BV9370NV,”
said Doug Kern, executive director of sales and marketing. “We wanted to give our customers a single, complete unit that included the features consum- ers need and want most. The navigation is solid and simple to use and the graphic interface puts most functions a touch or two away. It received a lot of atten- tion during CES and we are pleased it’s ready to go out to our retail network.”
Designed to Integrate and Expand In addition to its built-in features,
the BV9370NV is designed to interface with other devices, media and vehicle functions. It includes an SD card reader to store music locally as well as update navigation maps via a personal com- puter. Portable media devices plug in through a standard front-mounted AUX port while pre-amp outputs enable con- nection of external front, rear and sub- woofer amplifiers in lieu of the internal 320-watt max (80 watts x 4) amplifier. Wit h a backup camera connected to the included composite connec- tor, the screen will display the area behind the vehicle when it is in reverse. The BV9370NV also connects directly to factory steering wheel controls in appli- cable vehicles to allow volume adjustment and media selection.
Additional features include a 30-pre-
set AM/FM tuner with RDS (Radio Data System) display, U.S. and Euro- pean frequency compatibility, CD/ DVD slot, built-in equalizer and wire- less remote control. Suggested retail price for the BV9370NV is $689, excluding installation (and ships in master carton quantity of four). For more information on Boss Audio
