NHRA/NASCAR Drivers Battle for Charity

It’s not every day NASCAR and NHRA drivers go head- to-head, but that’s exactly what the Toyota Racing Dream Build Challenge has in store for fans leading up to the SEMA Show. It’s a vehicle build competition that brings fans inside the builders’ shops to observe the process firsthand. Vehicle build competitions aren’t new, but Toyota’s is offering fans front row seats throughout the entire build by inviting them to tune in to daily video reports and allowing them to vote to determine the winner.

Ford Out Front
Ford will again feature its current crop of star drivers and racing vehicles in the Ford Out Front exhibition just outside the halls of the LVCC. The Ford Out Front experience will show- case Ford high-performance drivers performing drifting, Gymkhana and freestyle demonstrations in Ford high- performance products. In 2011, Ford brought drivers Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Ken Block to the SEMA Show, and the program is slated to be just as exciting for 2012. Be there for driving demonstrations by drifting masters.
The team at Racer Engineering in San Jacinto, California, is rede- signing Alexis DeJoria’s Toyota Tundra, making a Pre-Runner that performs both off-road and on-track.
NASCAR-star Kyle Busch trash-talking NHRA-standout Antron Brown, or Alexis DeJoria goading Clint Bowyer. It’s not every day NASCAR Circle Track drivers get to compete against NHRA drag racers. As if driver pride wasn’t enough of an incentive, the winning driver’s charity will receive a $50,000 prize.
To keep this contest fair, every driver was given the same resources to complete the builds, and each had a limited time window in which to get it done. No one knows what’s going to happen yet, but the 28-episode reality-style series developed around the contest should keep fans coming back
