Continuing a Strong Tradition Global Tire Expo Ready to Deliver!
Anyone who has attended the annual Global Tire Expo (GTE)—Powered by Tire Industry Association (TIA) knows it has been a smashing success. Hundreds of exhibitors from all corners of the tire and tire service industries meet with thou- sands upon thousands of attendees—the single-largest gathering of tire dealers, tire companies and suppliers in North America. Bar none!
And tire professionals across the continent will show their continuing support for the GTE, coming this year from October 29–November 2 in association with the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
Tire Review Recognizes Outstanding Tire Dealer
Winners of the 2012 Tire Review Top Shop Awards presented by Ammco/Coats, honors the “best of the best” independent tire dealers in the United States and Canada, will be announced during TIA’s special Tire Industry Honors event at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Hotel on Monday, October 29.
The 2012 Top Shop Award winner will also be honored at TIA’s annual Industry Honors event, set for Mon- day, October 29, at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas Hotel. That event runs from 6:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m., followed by TIA’s Welcome Reception from 7:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
After an outstanding 2011 GTE and record early registration and exhibi- tion commitments for 2012, the Tire Industry Association certainly recog- nizes the value of this surge in interest. “The strong attendee and exhibitor presence is proof positive that TIA’s efforts are reaping positive results,” said TIA Executive Vice President Roy Lit- tlefield. “We appreciate the support these tire dealers, tire manufacturers and parts and equipment suppliers are show- ing and are especially pleased to know that the GTE is resonating with them.” As of mid-July, hotel reservations for the Show were up 31% from the same time last year, TIA said, and the asso- ciation expects that the 2012 GTE will “exceed the popularity of last year’s con- vention, which saw the record-breaking attendance of 132,000 industry busi- ness leaders and 61,000 buyers.” And the July report showed a 7% year-over-year increase—231 signed on for the GTE alone, 42 of which are first-time exhibitors.
