positive force in someone else’s life,” he says. “You really don’t know what you are getting into when you volunteer but when you do it is amazing to see the changes in kids. Honestly, it is hard to describe the transformation they go through.”
Heidi has never regretted her decision to match Dylan with a “big brother.” She says she had wanted to make sure he had someone in his life, other than herself, to lean on when necessary.
“I think he feels he can trust Greg and I know Greg will always be there for him — they have that kind of relationship,” says Heidi.

Because boys prefer to talk to boys about certain things Heidi takes comfort in the bond Dylan and Greg share.
