2013 Scion FR-S: Factory Upgrade Submitted by Carlos at NVS Audio
Keeping the head unit, but upping the audio in this plane-Jane sound system ››
▲
The Scion FR-S is a brand
new model for 2013. The car is half Scion and Half Subaru. It is rear wheel drive and has a boxer engine, which puts it in a class of its own. Cost for the car is under $20K so a lot of young customers will be able to afford it, but the factory audio system is subpar, so expect to see a lot of them in your install bays.
The customer chose to keep his factory head unit for now because it has iPod/ iPhone control (4 and earlier), built-in Bluetooth and subwoofer output (yes, a factory head unit with RCA subwoofer outputs for aftermarket amplifiers).
