The car that stands out for attention to detail would be a 2008 BMW X6 that I did for a customer. ME: What went through your mind when you heard your name called as the Installer of the Year?
Carlson: Finally!!!!!! No, not really. You
know, it was surreal. It just happened and I went through the motions until I hit the stage and my emotions took over. What a feeling to win an award like that in front of my peers.
ME: What are some of the rules and standards you’ve set, with regard to in- stallation procedures and techniques?
Carlson: Do it right the first time. I
don’t mind if something takes longer; just do it right. I want something built in such a way that if our competitor down the street takes our installs apart I want them to say, “Holy shit!
