1902. Kayseri prayer rug, central Anatolia about 1900-20, 4ft.6in. x 2ft.11in. 1.37m. x 0.89m. Very slight wear in mihrab. £80-120
1904. Two fragments from a Konya triple column prayer rug, central Anatolia, 18th century, 2ft. 6in. sq. 0.76m. sq. and 2ft. x 3ft. 5in. 0.61m. x 1.04m. Both fragments worn and damaged; the width of the second is the original width. As with most Turkish prayer rugs the pile is in the opposite direction to the design. Each now sewn down on linen. 1901. Yuruk rug, central or east Anatolia mid 19th century, 6ft.8in. x 5ft. 2.03m. x 1.52m. Overall heavy wear. This rug, with its powerful and archaic design in both field and main border, may be from the Konya region of central Anatolia. £100-200
