Turkish silk and heavy metal brocade textiles, made up into jacket and overcoat by Margarite Mangin of Maddox Street, Bond Street, London, textiles early 20th century, costume circa 1930 both with brown cotton and brown crepe lining. Slight distress to silk and both garments around collar shoulders. (2) £100-150

1724. An attractive Ottoman linen sofa front, finely embroidered in coloured silks and gold coloured metal thread worked in satin stitch and running stitch with sprays of flowers within narrow meandering floral borders, probably Brusa, south west Anatolia, 19th century, 123in. x 16in. 313cm. x 41cm. Small repairs to plain beige linen ground. Together with an Ottoman towel, the ends silk embroidered in shades of cream, gold and brown, Brusa, south west Anatolia, late 19th century, 42in. x 18in., 107cm. x 46cm., time stains to ground and a single Ottoman towel end, similarly embroidered Brusa, south west Anatolia, late 19th century, 14in. x 20in. 36cm. x 51cm. Some time stains and slight colour run in places. Sold as a collection with all faults not subject to return. (3) £200-300

1726. Unusually shaped purple silk velvet and heavy metal brocade panel, the metal brocade areas with additional fine metal strips glued (?) onto padded cotton or linen grounds. Anatolia or Bokhara, late 19th century, 47in. x 37in. 120cm. x 94cm. The padded areas with metal strips distressed with the metal largely disintegrating. £200-300

1725. A collection of Anatolian silk embroideries, probably Brusa, east Anatolia second half 19th century and later. Consisting of 4 silk embroidered linen panels of various sizes and seven fine silk and gold brocade embroidered mats with fine plain silk grounds (three pairs and one single). Lot 1723
1723. Gold coloured silk and metal thread brocade coat, exquisitely woven with all over flowers and foliage with woven gold coloured metal thread braid to all edges, hem and cuffs to the long sleeves, with gold coloured satin lining, probably East European, the silk brocade probably early 20th century with a modern lining. Shattering to the brocade on the back and around the right armhole area; slight green stains to the left arm. Note the lining has been skilfully handsewn in to the garment and is edged with a narrow modern metal thread braid.
