I GOT STARTED WHEN: “My father, who repaired and installed radios, had a heart attack and I took over the installation part of his business. I borrowed mom and dad’s money to buy inventory from stores going out of business and selling it out of my garage. A year later I opened up my store in an old gas station.”
WHEN NOT IN THE SHOP, I’M: “Working on my home, working outside, working on my web- site, and working with others to improve their online presence. I’ve turned this into a business.”
MY BIGGEST MISTAKE WAS: “Not buying the building that I am in when I had the chance. Also trying to support 15 different lines and
not being important to anyone. Now we have four key ven- dors and it works great!”
