sure of as I open the final issue of 2011 it’s that this industry has every quality needed to make it a year to remember. Resourcefulness, initiative and camaraderie make a great grounding for your businesses, while expertise and great service ensure that shoppers return to your stores, whether for lunch, some plants or to source beautiful Christmas decorations. I recently met with Carol Paris, the
operations director for Garden & Leisure and new HTA president; she is a lady that represents all of the aforementioned qualities in both her personality and business. She is the very worthy focus of this issue’s Reader Profile feature on page 21.
