For more aqua-based fun, the Water Sports Centre is an ideal stop-off. It is home to the region's first Cable Park (an over-head cable system built around the banks of a freshwater lake that pulls wakeboarders and water-skiers along at speeds of 29-38 kph). There are two man-made lakes (one each for beginners and more experienced riders respectively) for visitors to indulge in their favourite water sports. The centre also has a pro shop to rent and buy equipment, tutors and safety equipment. Back on dry land, the Paintball fields are perfect for letting off steam. There are three indoor, air-conditioned domes for players to roam around during paintball shoot-outs with rival gunners. Each arena has a different theme: the Wild West, World War II Pacific Island Zone and Alien Zone. Coaching is provided, as well as group packages for birthday parties and corporate and team-building events. For high-speed thrills, the Motorsports Centre is a perfect day out. The 1.2 km CIK-approved professional circuit offers a challenging and exhilarating experience for beginners and advanced drivers. It was designed and homologated by the CIK (Commission Internationale De Karting), which is the international FIA-approved body for kart racing. Having achieved the highest category available in its class, Al Forsan is an ideal venue for world championship endurance and Grand Prix racing. The centre has a karting circuit, including a Supermoto section that meets FIM regulations, three globally-recognised types of kart that can reach speeds of between 30 mph and 70 mph, and a monitored circuit with cameras to catch all the action. It is an ideal activity for corporate and team-building events and birthday parties. Other facilities and services include twin-seat and 270cc karts, beginner and advanced tuition, briefing rooms, a service support centre with full-sized paddock, and kids karting track. Buggy riding across an off-road circuit is also available.
