PROJECT News

Your Sign Company was established only a year ago (early 2010) but the company’s staff are experienced in all aspects of sign making and the fabrication department has what’s described as an abundance of in house equipment. In just one year of trading Your Sign Company has

began specialising in vehicle graphics and wraps and is already making its mark by successfully completing a number of larger contracts showing various sign making skills. One of those contracts was for performance automotive shop Burton Power, which approached Your Sign Company with a brief to completely revitalise its tired looking shop facade. Nick Dowell, Managing Director of Your Sign

Company, explains: “The frontage spans a massive 160 foot (48.75m) and with the shop located on a busy thoroughfare to and from Ilford, Essex, there was a marketing opportunity for Burton Power that wasn’t being used to its maximum advantage. We’d done small pieces of work for the shop previously but this was a much bigger project and we won the work tendering against stiff competition.” With skilled and knowledgeable staff, large

format printers, and abundance of sign making and finishing equipment, the team at Your Sign Company set to work creating in-house just about everything that would be required. Larger than life images of automotive parts and the Burton

name were printed on to Dibond sheets using UV inks; the sheets were then joined to produce panels approximately 4.5m wide and 2.5m high that run almost the length of the shop front.

The roller shutters were decorated with cut vinyl images of more automotive components, while the Burton name over the door was produced in brushed stainless steel letters with white LED backlighting to continue promoting the Burton name after dark. “This contract involved more than 100 square metres of composite materials to produce all the panels and what a transformation we made,” says Nick. “Burton Power are very happy that the shop is so visible now by people driving and walking by, day and night.” This may have been the biggest job by volume

of materials that Your Sign Company has done in its first year, but Nick says they have their eyes on winning even bigger projects in its second year. For further information, visit the website www.yoursigncompany.co.uk or telephone 01480 847336.
