Second Tekcel router for Envisage
Envisage, one of Europe’s leading exhibition contractors, has recently installed its second Tekcel CNC router to further increase capacity at its cutting edge production facilities in the West Midlands. Envisage has offered a full range of
design and build services for exhibition stands, conferences, marketing suites, museums and retail interiors for the past 30 years. The company has attained Approved Supplier Status within the Event Services & Suppliers Association and is currently fulfilling in excess of a hundred contracts a year across the UK and Europe. Recognising the considerable benefits a CNC router could bring to its business, Envisage purchased its first Tekcel system back in 2005. Following five years of trouble free routing, Envisage decided it was time to invest in a second CNC router and found that the latest Tekcel models offered a wide range of new features to aid productivity and ease of use. Envisage opted for a Tekcel VSR
router capable of handling 3m x 2m sheet sizes. This new model also features the Tekcel ATC (Automatic Tool Change) system, the auto tool indexing system and the pneumatic material registration system. All Tekcel routers now feature auto vacuum hold down and auto dust extraction controls, which they claim, make the routers more economical to run than other machines on the market. According to Julian Sage, Tekcel CNC Solutions, “Whether it’s machining woods, acrylics, ACMs or metals, the new VSR router’s

superior 8kw HSD spindle motor and powerful re-circulating ballscrew drive train is more than capable of delivering high performance cutting across the wide range of sheet materials that Envisage use to meet the demands of its very creative stand design team.” With two class leading CNC routers now available, Envisage
is well positioned to supply its high standard of innovative stand designs and interiors to an even wider audience. Alastair Wilkins, Operations Director
says, “As part of an ambitious growth strategy, the addition of a second CNC router was imperative to our operation. Five years of trouble free machining from our first CNC router, along with first class customer service from Tekcel, made the decision to choose a second Tekcel machine an easy one. In addition to this, in terms of component manufacture, the new features that the current generation of machines offer have added significantly to our previous capabilities and also provide us with the increase in manufacturing capacity that we required.” Tekcel CNC routers and cutting
systems are available in a range of popular bed sizes all the way up to 4m x 2m as standard. Tekcel CNC Solutions is also capable of delivering custom CNC solutions for companies with specific requirements that fall outside its standard model range. For further information telephone
