Wow! Have we got news for you ! We are delighted to announce our new relationship with Accrington Stanley Football Club. This season we will be devoting a column to the club to keep local supporters up to date with their progress, news, and special promotions. We have an advert in their Home Programmes and we have a new board at the ground.
At the time of going to press, they were about to entertain Newcastle United from the Premiership in the Carling cup second round. See page 29. We will be bringing regular news from the Accrington Lions, see page 24, and next month we will introduce articles from the Rotary club. But don’t worry we will still have room for all our usual high quality educational and cultural articles, and the silly stuff. Accrington outdoor market has a little feature this month and we have a new printing challenge of a centre page spread (run through) for Springwood Nursery. If it works we could do all sorts of centre page spreads like they do in the Parade magazine, where you can’t wait to see where the staples are going to be. Page 6 has Grumpy Git having a right go about the British weather, but as Billy Connelly says, “ there’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes.” Check out the “see through” Canadian toilet cubicle on page 8, along with some very witty replies to our Meercat caption article.
