uccess is no secret for Missy Parkin. The 2011 United States Bowling Congress Queens champion and current Team USA member most recently defeated Clara Guerrero for the
women’s PBA Regional Challenge championship on ESPN in January. But there may be a secret to her success. Acting on advice she received from Team USA head coach, Rod
Ross, at a Team USA training camp last year, Parkin made a significant adjustment to her pitches, going from 3/8 reverse to 1/4 forward, an adjustment she described as “crazy huge.” To understand how significant a change that is, just consider the math.
