Innovation, flexibility and quality Dana Zeides, marketing assistant at MTM Power, discusses recent progress and products.

In

recent years, MTM Power has increasingly developed into one of the largest power

supply manufacturers for railway applications in Europe. The decisive factors here are the quality of innovative products, and the fl exibility and reliability of the base business.

MTM Power products meet all relevant standards and VDE/EN/UL regulations where applicable. A globally unique thermoselective vacuum encapsulation (European Patent EP 1 987 708), large-scale testing and examination, including burn-ins, guarantee high quality and reliability. Every single product is individually tested before being put on sale. With a works failure rate of a mere 0.01%, the benefi ts of continuous quality control are plain to see.

This year MTM Power was awarded with the ‘Star’ in the category ‘Commodity Parts’ by the Rail Systems division of Siemens AG.

Like Siemens, MTM Power demands the highest standards as regards quality and performance, which are essential for successful cooperation. The company is involved as a partner in many of Siemens’ rolling stock projects.

MTM Power off ers a wide range of 30 watt to 600 watt EN 50 155-compliant DC/DC converters, which are especially designed for vehicle and railway applications. These devices – particularly for sophisticated use in trains – supply the electric and electronic systems on board and track-side.

Besides these

range includes DC/AC inverters, fi lters and multi-power

supply systems. At the same

time, custom-made products or modifi cations of existing products can be realised, also in relatively small volumes and in a short period of time. In addition, MTM Power also provides an extensive range of AC/DC modules for various applications. Innovation, fl exibility and quality – this is what MTM Power stands for.
