and Cinecittà World], he asked me transform his dream into reality. We lost a lot of time due to administration issues, but we finally obtained all the permits for construction a little more than two years ago.

At the beginning we took time to visit other theme parks, to speak to park managers and meet with companies that were working in this field to try and get a better understanding of this industry. Earlier on we talked a lot with Forrec in Canada, and they were very helpful, but I can say that for the last five or six years we have been working by our own. We want to learn from our own mistakes, but so far people are enjoying the park. We also made the choice not to employ people who have spent their whole life in theme parks. We have a fantastic person, Ricardo Capo, serving as director general. He was general manager of Mirabilandia for three years. This was his first experience in a theme park, but he did good job. Some of our other mangers are coming from Gardaland, and we then we have a French consultant, Alain Trouvé, who was previously head of Parc Astérix. So we like to focus on newcomers to the industry, mixed with good consultants. For maintenance and operation we have worked closely during the transition period with the people of Mack, Intamin, Zamperla and the other ride manufacturers.
Leading manufacturers We selected these companies after going to the IAAPA show a few times. It turned out that most of the main manufacturers were European, and we are also working with other companies from Italy, Germany and the UK. We are very satisfied with our co-operation, especially with Mack. I think if you want to be good at what you do you need to work with three of four worldwide leaders; and we are pleased to take attractions from these companies.
