Delphinus’ dolphin swimming programmes are suitable for the whole family

Seen in the trails of Xcaret there is the world of the Mayan civilisation and culture of modern Mexico combined in more than 40 exciting attractions. Located at the seashore, in the Riviera Maya and near Cancun, Xcaret has attractions for everyone, from a traditional Fiesta Charra and the Mayan Ball Game, to the excitement of nature in Jaguar Island and the colourful Butterfly Pavilion.
And, of course there is also the Caribbean to enjoy with a snorkelling tour, swimming in underground rivers and have fun with the dolphin swim; and when night falls, there is the "Xcaret Mexico Espectacular", a celebration of light and colour with 300 artists in a musical setting through the history of Mexico. Also, there is the panoramic view of Xcaret Park and the beautiful Caribbean Sea from the rotating Sky Tower. Located just a few steps from the Gran Tlachco Theater, this popular attraction soars into the sky to admire Xcaret from the highest point of the Riviera Maya. A memorable sight! Supplied by Huss, the observation tower has the ability to rise to a height of 80 metres and thanks to its 360 degree rotation; you can admire the natural beauty of the Riviera Maya and Cozumel Island on the horizon. One of the highlights of Xcaret Park is the ritual ceremony of the Aztec “Voladores” (flyers), which is has been recognised by UNESCO as having intangible cultural heritage status. This custom of Mesoamerican origin expresses respect for nature and the spiritual universe. During the ceremony, four Voladores de Papantla climb a pole while one more flyer remains sitting on the edge of the platform, while playing with a flute and drum melodies in honour of the sun, the four winds and the cardinal points. After this act of invocation, the dancers launch themselves from the platform to which they are tied by long ropes, imitating the flight of birds and drop down to the ground.

Construido por Huss, la torre de observación tiene la capacidad de elevarse a una altura de 80 metros y gracias a su grado rotativo de 360 grados se puede admirar la belleza natural de la Riviera Maya y la isla de Cozumel en el horizonte. Uno de los aspectos más destacados de Parque Xcaret es la ceremonia ritual de los aztecas "Voladores", que se ha sido reconocido por la UNESCO y tienen la condición de patrimonio cultural intangible. Esta costumbre de origen Mesoamericano expresa respeto por la naturaleza y el universo espiritual. Durante la ceremonia, cuatro Voladores de Papantla trepan un poste mientras que un volante más permanece sentado al borde de la plataforma tocando una flauta y tambor melodías en honor al sol, a los cuatro vientos y los puntos cardinales. Después de este acto de invocación, los danzantes se lanzan desde la plataforma a la que están atados por largas cuerdas, imitando el vuelo de los pájaros, y caen al suelo.
