BACK IN December last year I wrote about our upcoming annual surveys. Since then, we’ve had feedback from nearly 25,000 people on their experience of working, or being a customer, of Cyclescheme. As you can imagine, that’s a lot of data to look

As well as continuing to use this column as a chance to share this insight with you throughout the year, I thought it worth sharing a few key highlights from our IBD survey with you now to whet your appetite. Two areas in particular really stood out for me this year and they both relate to the service we provide to you, the IBDs. First and foremost we asked a very simple question of you all, “If you had the choice, would you rather manage all of your Cycle to Work transactions through Cyclescheme?” – a whopping 84 per cent of you said yes. That’s an incredible response and something that we are truly very proud of. We do recognise, of course, that there are other Cycle to Work providers out there and that having the choice to work with other administrators is important. We do not wish to monopolise the market and lose sight of one of our fundamental goals – to support independent bike shops across the UK. Nonetheless it is fantastic to see that so many of you value the relationship we hold with you. Secondly, it’s always important for us that we look at


our approval rating. Specifically in areas that we know we are consistently investing time and money to improve our service and keep us ahead of the game. One such area – how fast we pay retailers – has always been a great measure for how we are performing across our whole business. A fast payment to a retailer means that the employer is running an efficient scheme and that the employee is collecting their bike package promptly – essentially, everyone is happy. 98 per cent of you rated our ‘speed of payment’ as either ‘Good’ or ‘Very good’. Again, this is something we are very proud of and will continue to strive for throughout 2014 and beyond. I won’t divulge any further nuggets of information just
