PITBULL CURRENTLY HAS around 43 staff across Europe, and the company has added new offices in Guildford and Leamington Spa over the last year as it expands its operations. The studio recently told Develop that it aims to grow to between 70 to 80 by the end of the year. The firm’s net worth has
increased by 1,100 per cent during the last year, thanks to this growth. It is currently hard at work on developing Unreal Engine 4 and supporting Epic Games with the development of its new IP, Fortnite (pictured). After such a successful year,
the studio looks set to go from strength-to-strength in 2014.
PLAYRAVEN
FINLAND HAS PROVEN a hotbed for innovative and exciting new game start-ups, and PlayRaven is no exception. Founded just last year by a team of veterans from companies including Remedy Entertainment, Wooga and Digital Chocolate, the Helsinki studio last month secured £2.3 million in seed investment. The developer is working on
strategy title Spymaster, set during the Second World War, and is set to be released in Spring. Thanks to its extra funding, PlayRaven is also looking to hire a new team of experienced developers to work on a new strategy game for touch screen devices.
