CHARACTER CREATION, RIGGING and animation firm Mixamo is set to make a number of new announcements this year as it continues its vision to democratise the character creation process. The studio will be making
alterations to the price models for its Fuse (pictured) and Face Plus tools, and will make deeper integrations with games engines, such as Unity, and support for 3D modelling tools and file formats. The firm has also told Develop
that users can expect more options to its growing suite of animation and rigging tools to be announced over the coming months.
NAUGHTY DOG
DURING THE LAST generation in particular, Naughty Dog has become one of the most acclaimed developers in the world, thanks to the Uncharted series (pictured) and its iconic lead, Nathan Drake, plus last year’s critically lauded The Last of Us, oft-praised as one of the best games of its generation. In November, the developer
teased the next instalment in the Uncharted series with a small trailer featuring a map of Africa and a voice over by actor Todd Stashwick. Expect more details to come out about the game this year as Naughty Dog sets its sights on kicking off its PS4 development in style.
