develop 100 KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS
VIDEO GAME VISIONARY Hideo Kojima announced his latest Metal Gear entry, The Phantom Pain (pictured), in the most bizarre fashion. Revealing a trailer for what appeared to be a new IP from Moby Dick Studios, and himself pretending to be game developer Joakim Mogren, the title was eventually unveiled as part of Metal Gear Solid V. And the game looks slick,
taking advantage of next-gen hardware, the new Fox Engine and the talented team at Kojima Productions to generate a startling open world in in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain, the former of which is expected in March.
LEADWERKS
LEADWERKS IS ANemerging game engine on the dev scene, now in its third iteration. Last year the company took to crowdfunding website Kickstarter to enable native Linux development through its tech. The company raised $42,358,
double its target, and last month also made its way onto Steam after successfully moving through Greenlight in just 27 days. With Linux becoming an ever-more popular operating system and Valve releasing its Linux-based SteamOS later this year, Leadwerks may have found itself a vibrant market for developers in need of a compatible development platform.
